About the author:
Dr. Marc Gorelick
Marc Gorelick, MD, is president and chief executive officer of Children’s Minnesota, one of the largest independent pediatric health systems in the United States. As a pediatrician, Dr. Gorelick spent 25 years treating children, including gunshot victims, in some of our country’s busiest pediatric emergency rooms. Dr. Gorelick holds an A.B. in history from Princeton University, completed medical school at Duke University and earned an MS degree in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania. He trained in pediatrics at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., and in pediatric emergency medicine at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Gorelick and his wife live in Minneapolis. They have two grown children.
